This Candyman inspired song is the perfect ending for this album. Catchy sing-along choruses, Terrific drumming, growled verses and the iconic Krueger's nursery rhyme sets the mood of the whole album. That soft bridge before the breakdown is awesome. Fisher's growls fits the gory imagery of this brutal track inspired by my bloody valentine. Horrorwood is noticeably heavier than it's predecessor, this song it's the perfect example. They perfectly captured the sick vibes of the first Hostel movie. The german spoken vocals contributes to create that cheesy horrorish vibes that i need when i hear this band. Nu metal influences, electronic bits, korn-ish riffs. A gothic revenge love song that fits perfecly with the other tracks, despite it's softer approach and lack of horror. Like the last place i found the crow a bit out of place, still this song slaps. The most accessible track from these album. When i discovered this band i never knew i needed John Williams Jaws soundtrack in a breakdown so much. A great mix of christmas and halloween vibes. Well, not the best horror aroumd here but a perfect concept for a song. It also show the band's self irony.Ī classic melodic metalcore song with terrific chorus and guitar melodies, Hellraiser was a must for this sequel.

The Huey Lewis reference alone makes this an highlight. I love the soundtrack from Saw, so the blending of it inside I9K style is nothing but pure fun. Catchy chorus but the verse is too similar to a song by Panic!at the disco which i can't stand, so i lowered it a bit. I swore to myself that if this song didn't had Hermann's soundtrack transformed into a breakdown i wouldn't continued the album. I wish they included this instead of the world in my hand in the regular album. The back and forth in the style of a musical is pure genius. Very fun lyrics and homage to one of the best movies in the genre. Ska punk is my guilty pleasure, that little ska section made me happy when i first listened to this. I love the drum machine effect and the transition from quiet to heavy. The only track not inspired by a particular horror movie, a great way to introduce this sequel.
#Scream 2 soundtrack spot movie#
The fly it's maybe the most disgusting movie among "mainstream" horror classics, so i expected a creepier atmosphere, still it's truly catchy and embraces the sci-fi vibes quite well. Fun fact, Chelsea Talmadge appears in Stranger things. i enjoy it more often than the previous ones.Ĭheesy ballad i know, but it perfectly catches the 80s vibes so i think it's on purpose. It has similar approach with savages but with a catchier chorus.

Generally considered their worst from The silver scream era.

I mean, it's not bad but since this movie is pretty raw i expected a rougher track with dirtier atmospheres instead of a punkish anthemic track. Texas chainsaw massacre is one of my favorites classic horror movies ever, imagine my disappointment when i heard this. I hope they'll write a silent hill track with a more apt atmosphere. While i appreciate the retro-videogame intro this is the only one i skip from Horrorwood. While it has a great bassline, it doesn't get me musically neither, the lyrics are pretty generic and nothing particularly in the vocals. I mean, Edward scissorhand is a bit out of subject here.
